CloudSCAN User Guide

Overview

CloudSCAN allows you to scan and attach paperwork directly to patient exams in your PACS system. Follow these steps to scan and upload documents seamlessly.

Step 1: Initiate Scanning from iQ-Web

Navigate to the iQ-Web "Easyweb" page and locate the exam you want to add paperwork to.

Click the scan icon next to the exam.

What happens next: This triggers an API call to CloudSCAN and opens a new browser window.

Step 2: Log In to CloudSCAN

When the CloudSCAN login page appears, enter your credentials to access your account.

Step 3: Install the Scan Driver

On your first use, you’ll be prompted to install the CloudSCAN Scan Driver.

Important: This driver must be installed on your local machine to enable communication between your physical scanner and the CloudSCAN application.

Click the Install button and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

Note: You must have local admin privileges on your machine to install the driver.

Step 4: Scan Your Documents

Once the driver is installed, the scan interface will appear with three main sections:

  • Left panel: Scan button to initiate scanning
  • Center panel: Live preview of scanned documents
  • Right panel: Details of the exam you’re attaching documents to

To scan documents:

  1. Click the Scan button in the upper left
  2. Place your documents in the scanner
  3. Review the document preview in the center panel (labeled "Preview will Appear Here")
  4. Repeat as needed for multiple pages or documents
  5. When finished, click the Send button

Note: The Send button transfers your scanned documents to your PACS system and automatically merges them with the selected exam.

Step 5: Confirm Successful Upload

After clicking Send, a progress bar will display the upload status.

100% completion indicates your scanned paperwork was successfully delivered to the PACS system.

Troubleshooting

Scanner not detected?

  • Ensure the Scan Driver is properly installed
  • Verify the CaptureWare Service is running
  • Check that your scanner is connected and powered on

Send failed?

  • Check your internet connection
  • Confirm you’re still logged in to CloudSCAN
  • Retry the send operation

Need Help?

Contact your system administrator or IT support team for additional assistance with your scanner. If you need help with the CloudSCAN site itself, please contact offsite Support.
